Dynamet Technology, Inc has been producing high quality titanium and titanium alloy complex shape components by its advanced powder metallurgical CHIP process (Cold and Hot Isostatic Pressing) for over 30 years. The CHIP process is an economical and practical method to fabricate titanium alloys and metal matrix composites (MMCs). Dynamet Technology has produced a wide variety of near-net shapes including turbine rotors, missile housings, missile fins, motor cases and thin wall tubes.
Dynamet remains on the cutting edge of advanced titanium technology with its CermeTi® family of titanium metal matrix composites (MMCs). CermeTi® MMCs are rugged titanium alloys containing microscopic particles of hard ceramic.
These titanium composites have excellent room and elevated temperature properties and are exceptionally wear resistant.
Dynamet Technology produces high quality, near-net shape CermeTi® composite components and is developing components for potential applications for:

CermeTi® components can be produced to a variety of near-net shapes. Conventional powder metallurgical process produce relatively small parts while Dynamet's CHIP process can routinely produce parts weighing over 40 pounds. Dynamet has developed the technology to clad CermeTi® to titanium and other metals so that CermeTi can be selectively located on interior and exterior surfaces.
CermeTi® is a registered trademark of Dynamet Technology, Inc. and is the subject of U.S. and International patents assigned to Dynamet Technology, Inc.
